New Morelet's Ponds at ACES in Ladyville

Posted by Cherie Chenot-Rose on November 3, 2011 at 6:15 PM

ACES Cannot Thank the Summerlee Foundation Enough. The natural freshwater Morelet's ponds at ACES in Ladyville are spectacular. In addition, four containment pens are being constructed for the treatment of crocs that may need to be held in isolation because of  infectious diseases or injuries. We are so excited to be rescuing over 30 freshwater crocodiles on the 8th with the Belize Forest Department (BFD) and The Belize Vivarium. Thank you to everyone who made this possible including The Summerlee Foundation, The United States Humane Society, The Global Federation of Animal Shelters, BFD, The Belize Economic & Ecological Devlopment Fund and of course, Charlie of Caribbean Shrimp Farms, LTD for the use of his land!
