Captive Crocs Rescued by ACES

Thanks to funding provided by the the Summerlee Foundation through BEEDFund.com, November 8th, 2011, ACES and the Belize Forest Dept. rescued 22 Morelet's crocodiles. Channel5Belize covers the story.
The Belize Vivarium also assissted in the rescue of ten additional crocs that day and is caring for nine of the sickest crocs while the Belize Zoo is caring for one of the rescued animals.

In Belize, both American and Morelet's crocodiles are protected under this act. It is illegal to feed crocs, harass crocs, touch crocs, or act in any way to disrupt their behavior. Please report all croc offenses to the Belize Forest Department or contact ACES.
