ACES American Crocodile Education Sanctuary

Help Take A Bite Out of Extinction!

"ACES's Croc-Crusaders" Join Site

Welcome! Thank you for wishing to be a part of ACES's vigorous concerted movement to save Crocodilians in Belize. Whether you're an active member, a donor or just enjoy our stories and photos, your part plays a significant role in ACES's efforts. The more people we get talking about Crocodilian Conservation, the greater the number of people who become aware that these magnificent modern day dinosaurs, one of the World's oldest living creatures and remaining unchanged in form for thousands of years, are globally becoming in danger of extinction. Worldwide there are only an estimated 10,000 to 20,000 American Crocodiles left. With the ever increasing developement of shores, mangroves, estuaries and rivers, viable habitat for nesting crocodiles is diminishing. While they are not cute and cuddle like the polar bears are to most people, those of us who love their crooked, snarley-toothed smiles wish to share with you their admirable roles in the World's ecosystems, their uncanny intelligence, and their incredible individuality that truly makes them endearing.

About Me

A master in the art of living draws no sharp distinction between his work and his play, his labor and his leisure, his mind and his body, his education and his recreation.

He hardly knows which is which.

He simply pursues his vision through whatever he is doing and leaves others to determine whether he is working or playing.

To himself he always seems to be doing both.

About Me

I am a long term friend of the extended Chenot family.  Prior to moving to northern Virginia I practiced law in Butler County, Pennsylvania and worked very closely with Cherie's mother, Judy, who was a Deputy Sheriff in the Butler County Sheriff's Office.

At the present time I am employed by the Transportation Security Administration, United States Department of Homeland Security, and am enjoying all that the Washington, D.C. area has to offer.

About Me

My husband and I spent 4 days at ACES a couple of years ago.  It was an amazing experience.  Reading about all of the changes in the last 2 years really has me curious.  Is it time to re-visit???
