Join our expert croc team and cruise into the night through Isla Bonita’s mangrove habitat as we survey the area on a crocodile research expedition.

While you're learning all about biology, physiology, behavior, and habitat, expert croc researchers will be eye-shining, looking for the distinctive glowing eyes of the American saltwater crocodile in its natural habitat aboard the "Swamp Thing", a comfortable twenty-foot Carolina Skiff.

In order to join us, we have a $50 USD / $100 BZD mandatory donation per person. Donations from these research expeditions are ACES main source of funding, allowing us to rescue, rehabilitate, and educate to better conserve these important, but misunderstood creatures throughout Belize.

No special attire is needed for this 2 hour lagoon-side boat excursion.

"The crocodile tour is one of the most unique and educational tours on the island. Chris has to much experience and knowledge to share about them. Not only does he care for and save these crocs, he also helps relocate them when they find their ways to the resorts and under people's houses."

Crystal Rae

"We learned so much about crocs, the Belizean eco system, and the conservation efforts being spearheaded by ACES. Chris and Christina are dedicated to this cause and never stop working to educate the community and help the Ambergris wildlife (not just crocs). I would highly recommend this tour to anyone coming to Belize!"

Katie FP

"It was a Great experience! I learned sooo much about crocodiles, Would I do it again? YES! I’m a Floridian I need to know these things. Chris and Ryan were amazing. I can’t wait to bring my friends back so they can experience this great opportunity as well!"

Visit ACES' rescued crocodiles at Caribbean Shrimp Company located in Ladyville, Belize.

ACES is a proud partner with Caribbean Shrimp Company, who graciously provides safe, secure, and comfortable habitats for crocodiles either deemed too dangerous to live in the wild or those unable to survive on their own due to injuries.

Their facility offers two enclosures (fresh water and salt water reserves) that provide a home in the crocodile’s natural habitat, while allowing our visitors the chance to watch and learn about these magnificent creatures, as well as feed them, from a safe distance.

Currently, their largest resident is George, a 14-foot American saltwater crocodile!

Visits to the sanctuary are free with $10 USD property admission. Crocodile food is available at Captain Hooks Shrimp Restaurant for $5 BZE per bag. Learn all about Belize’s crocodiles with an interpretive croc tour for just $10 USD
