Clean it up!

Yesterday, intern Gary and I attended a meeting held by the Department of the Environment and Cefas - Common Wealth Litter Program.

Along side other NGO's, stakeholders, and government representatives, we spent the day discussing the multi levelled garbage and pollution problem.

Some of the key issues discussed were societal mentality, infrastructure, and financial restrictions.

Once the main problems were addressed and agreed upon, the remainder of the day was spent coming up with long term solutions and methods to implement them.

All in all it was a very positive experience and one we were grateful to be part of. As a civilization, we are at a crucial tipping point for our planet.... we can do nothing and keep destroying our home... or we can grab the bull by the horns and tackle this problem head on fighting for the change we need.
