Are They fingers Or Toes?

We’re continuing our month of November Knowledge with cool crocodile fact #2.

Crocodilians have 5 toes on the front feet, 4 toes on the back feet, but only 3 claws on each foot regardless of how many toes. Only the hind feet have webbing between the toes which they don’t really use for swimming, it’s more like a “doggy paddle” to move in the water a little and to aid in stability when floating and being sneaky buggers.

Every once in a while, someone stumbles across a crocodilian with an abnormality or two, just like this Gator ACES founders Vince and Cherie Rose found in Florida earlier this year. Check out those crazy front feet!
